Feedback on cuptimo
Peter Affenzeller, Suchan
“It couldn't be easier or better to prepare filter coffee! Very convenient to use, top brewing results. With cuptimo, you only need to wash one part and it's ready. There's no easier and better way to prepare filter coffee.”
Martin Wölfl
“New process to get even more complex flavors out of the coffee. a brewing device from Germany that enables the barista to get even more complex flavors out of the coffee with a new process and is really fun to prepare!”
E. Engel

“It's super easy and fun to use! After the first test, we decided to add cuptimo to our coffee setup. It's super easy and fun to use, especially with the pump!
We're looking forward to trying out our other beans with cuptimo too.”
Christian Ullrich
“I always had a smooth and very sweet cup of coffee! I tested cuptimo for several weeks at home and on the road. You can use it as described and I always had a smooth and very sweet coffee. But it also worked as a drip brewer with a Kalita filter and it is also very suitable for cold brew.”
Aryan Joshani
“cuptimo is a revolutionary coffee machine!
The manual pump creates a vacuum in the server and the beverage is pressed through the paper filter by the vacuum. It also produces a lot more liquid than if you just let gravity pull the coffee down.
For this brew I used coffee from Brazil, natural anaerobic Catuai from @manhattancoffeeroasters.
Deep and strong notes of whiskey and chocolate. No bitterness! No astringency!
You have to try cuptimo if you want a new taste experience!”
Oliver Götz
“cuptimo should be part of every filter coffee lover's standard equipment.
I find the cuptimo brewer particularly interesting for preparing light, Nordic roasts because I can brew with a very fine grind. This brings out both the full body and the fruity notes, but without the bitterness that you would expect from such a grind.
I was also impressed by the intense taste of the cold brews prepared with cuptimo.
cuptimo offers a unique brewing process and, in my opinion, should be part of the standard equipment of every filter coffee lover.”
Team & Idea
Due to the coffee culture in my home country of Austria, the moment of drinking coffee has always been a conscious ritual of enjoyable time-out from everyday life for me. To this day, I can’t really get to grips with coffee-to-go.
Together with my wife, a certified coffee expert, I visited coffee plantations in her home country of Brazil to learn about coffee varieties and processing methods. Through friends who quit their corporate jobs to become coffee roasters, I became even more immersed in the complex and fascinating world of coffee. As a mechanical engineer myself, I have always worked on the development and implementation of products in demanding environments, and in my spare time I have studied the many ways of preparing filter coffee – always looking for a better solution.
This is how I came up with the vision of developing a coffee brewer that, using the best materials and in the optimal process, can brew coffee as simply, appreciatively as possible, even in today’s often hectic and mobile world, so that you can take this moment of pleasure with you wherever you go. All these people, who introduced me to the world of coffee and contributed significantly to my inspiration, still support the idea of cuptimo today.
The common goal is to give you a coffeehouse moment with cuptimo, be it at home, at the office or on the road. The cooperation with regional craft companies is important to us and makes every cuptimo coffee brewer a high quality one of a kind product. However, this also means small batch sizes and results in our cuptimo sometimes not being available for immediate delivery. We hope you understand.

Supporter
Ever since the first prototype for cuptimo, coffee sommelier and roaster Peter Affenzeller and his team from Suchan Kaffee have supported the development of this new preparation method with expert knowledge and suggestions for product design and encouraged further work on the topic. Immediately afterwards, the founders of roestkaffee.de Ivan and David joined with their team to further supported the development of a prototype towards a product.

For Cold Brew, we recommend using very finely ground coffee and pouring the water slowly. After just a few moments, you can extract your Cold Brew with the pump – and enjoy.
How much water/coffee should I use?
We recommend a brewing ratio of 1:17 (one part coffee to 17 parts water), so for example a good 13g of coffee for 230g of water.
One coffee pad contains a about 7g of coffee and is therefore best brewed with 130g of water.
